Spreading Holiday Cheer: The Leonidas Foundation and UPS Deliver Joy to NJEDDA Students

12/19/2024

The holiday season is a time for joy, kindness, and giving, and this year, The Leonidas Foundation was proud to team up with UPS to spread that magic to the incredible students at the North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency (NJEDDA). For another consecutive year, this heartwarming event brought smiles, laughter, and the true spirit of the season to those who deserve it most.

With the support of our generous community, we collected over 175 cuddly stuffed animals and a sleigh-full of carefully chosen presents. These weren’t just toys—they were tokens of love and care, a way of letting these children know they are cherished and celebrated. Each gift, no matter how big or small, carried with it the warmth of a community that truly cares.

Our hardworking “elves” played a vital role in making this day unforgettable. From sorting and wrapping gifts to coordinating the joyful delivery, these volunteers were the embodiment of holiday cheer. With every toy they handed out, they brought smiles to little faces, laughter to the halls, and joy to the hearts of students and staff alike.

Walking into the school that day was nothing short of magical. The sparkle in the students’ eyes as they opened their presents was a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about the gifts themselves; it’s about the connection, the care, and the message that each child is seen, valued, and loved.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our wonderful supporters. To everyone who donated stuffed animals, gifts, or their time—thank you. Your kindness has made a tangible difference, creating memories these children will carry with them for years to come.

As we look ahead to the new year, we’re reminded that the holiday spirit doesn’t have to end when the season does. At The Leonidas Foundation, we are committed to carrying the values of giving, compassion, and community love into everything we do. Together, we can continue to uplift and inspire, not just during the holidays but all year round.

From all of us at The Leonidas Foundation and UPS, thank you for making this season magical. Wishing you a happy, healthy, and joyful holiday season!
