Caldwell, NJ — The Leonidas Foundation proudly announces that Lesley Lovett, a graduate of Mount St. Dominic Academy (MSDA) and a lifelong friend of the Foundation’s namesake, Leo Vagias, has been appointed as the new L.E.O. (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Opportunity) Program Coordinator at MSDA. As a student at MSDA, Lovett formed a deep connection to the school community, and her personal relationship with Leo - who she fondly recalls babysitting and growing up alongside - makes this appointment especially meaningful. Her passion for continuing Leo’s legacy, paired with her professional and personal commitment to youth development, uniquely positions her to lead the next chapter of the L.E.O. Program at her alma mater. “Having Lesley work alongside MSDA as our L.E.O. Program Coordinator is a full-circle moment,” said James Ebert, President of The Leonidas Foundation. “Her personal connection to Leo and her understanding of what it means to be part of the Mount community will inspire students to carry forward his legacy of leadership, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.” In her new role, Lovett will oversee program delivery, coordinate with teachers and administrators, and mentor students through L.E.O.’s signature events such as Pinning, Shark Tank, Interview Day, and Signing Day. She will also work to expand community partnerships, bring in dynamic guest speakers, and create meaningful leadership opportunities for students. “I am honored to step into this role at the Mount,” said Lesley Lovett. “Leo was such a special part of my life, and I am grateful for the chance to honor him by helping MSDA students grow as leaders, innovators, and changemakers.” About the L.E.O. The Leonidas Foundation today announced that Rhonda Clarke has stepped down as Executive Director after three years of dedicated service to the Foundation and the L.E.O. Program™. During her tenure, Rhonda played a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Foundation, which is rooted in honoring the legacy of Leo Vagias through the values of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Opportunity. Her leadership helped expand the reach of the L.E.O. Program™, create impactful student experiences, and strengthen the Foundation’s partnerships with schools, mentors, and community leaders. In her farewell message to the Board, Rhonda shared: “It has been an honor to serve alongside you over the past three years in honoring Leo’s legacy and advancing the LEO Program. This journey has been deeply meaningful both personally and professionally, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such important work. As my journey continues in a different direction, I remain inspired by your dedication and commitment.
